Tul (Pattern): This is typically an individual practice whereby one executes a set combination of fundamental movements that requires focus in combining technique, balance, breath control, rhythm, timing and power. The Demo Team extends this to team patterns and pattern applications.
Team patterns involve additional dimensions such as configuration, synchronisation and choreography. Pattern application demonstrates how each movement in the Tul can be used with possible oncoming attacks.

Matsogi (Sparring): The types of sparring are Yaksok Matsogi (pre-arranged sparring) and Jayu Matsogi (free sparring). This is a fundamental exercise demonstrating one’s ability to attack and defend against an opponent with confidence and good fighting spirit.
New Yaksok Matsogi sets not included in the syllabus are choreographed to show the various self-defence mechanisms of the art.
Jayu Matsogi is showcased by colour belts and black belts to show distinction between the different standards. It is executed as it would in a tournament, with a referee, to give the audience a glimpse of the official rules such as which movements warrant penalties.

Wi Ryok (Breaking): Breaking hard objects is not merely an impressive spectacle, but rather a test of strength and technical precision. The current program includes a diverse assortment of board and roof tile breaking.

Hosinsul (Self-defence): The way Taekwon-Do, an art that teaches self-defence, can be applied in real life situations is demonstrated in choreographed routines where a scenario is acted out by a protagonist and multiple attackers. It shows how individuals can protect themselves despite having multiple attackers that outnumber and outsize them. The current team’s acts put the main focus on children and female self-defence.

Tuk Gi (Special technique): Technique is unquestionably a vital component in Taekwon-Do. Special technique exercises various aerial kicks and is a highly demanding practice, in that it requires numerous skills such as muscular power, flexibility and precision. Technique in this, accounts for the run-up, jump and execution of the kick.
